Learn About Our Work at Soudan
The CDMS experiment is housed in the Soudan Underground Laboratory. Much of the work that is done for the experiment is done at the facilities of the CDMS collaborators, but the actual data-taking-experiment is performed at Soudan. Our laboratory at Soudan is staffed by the graduate students and researchers of our collaboration. The staff spends time both underground and at a control facility above ground.
Tasks include installing the detectors, pre-data taking testing and troubleshooting, and monitoring (cryogenic supply, temperature, etc.).
